Colonel David P. Anders, a member of the local 82nd Airborne Chapter, is in line to serve as the Commnader of "The Old Guard" at Arlington National Cemetery.
Home from his recent deployment to the Middle East, Anders will soon attend the War College and, upon completion of his education, will assume the duties as the "Guard" Commander.
Respectfully referred to as "Colonel Dave" around the local Airborne Chapter, he is the son of Jan and the recently expired, SGM (Ret.) Marshall Anders.
While in Arlington, Dave will be able to watch over the grave of his father, Marshall, who is buried in the National Cemetery.
