The story of Chris and Stacy well it actually started in 1994 we were two very different people one a little wild and one much calmer in High school we always ended up being the last one’s off the high school bus, we only lived a few blocks from each other and even though we both had small secret crushes on each other we would just “shoot the breeze” neither one of us ever thinking the other would be interested and there it ended in our teens until 2004. We had both went our own ways moved away and got married to someone else then as time would have it we both got divorced. We both moved home with our kids Stacy and her two girls and Chris with his two boys, our kids ended up going to the exact same school we went to, we both agreed to be chaperons on a field trip for them to Monterey Bay Aquarium of course neither one of us knew anything about the other we just both showed up early that morning for this field trip, when I first seen Chris I thought “ wow he is pretty cute” I did notice he looked really familiar but just couldn’t figure it out. On the bus trip up to Monterey he sat in front of me and well he slept most of the time but in between I noticed he staring at me in the mirror but he never said anything. At the aquarium we had our own groups of kids and he went his own way even though later after I looked for him I realized me and my second graders were completely lost and had no idea where we were supposed to go and then there he was coming up the stairs with a smirk on his face he knew I was lost, I had such Butterflies in my stomach. We did eventually get to our spot we needed to be at. On the way home I finally couldn’t take and just asked “do I know you?” and sure enough here was my bus buddy from high school! When we started to talk it was so natural, so complete. We spent nights in and out on the phone like high school talking about everything under the sun, we went on our first date about one week later we have not been apart since because we are the missing piece to each other’s puzzles.
We are celebrating our six year anniversary this month, I celebrate the fact that destiny gave me my best friend, soul mate, the love of my life, my bus buddy. This man has made me believe that there is a happy ending to every story.
